After a disappointing 2022-23 season, the Minnesota Timberwolves have made significant strides under new head coach Chris Finch.
Led by All-Star guard Anthony Edwards, the Timberwolves finished with a 56-26 record, good for third place in the Western Conference. Edwards emerged as a legitimate MVP candidate, averaging 24.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.
Gobert, acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Utah Jazz, proved to be a force in the paint, leading the team in rebounding and providing a defensive anchor. Russell, a former All-Star, provided stability at the point guard position, averaging 18.1 points and 6.2 assists per game.
